For clients who need clinical care, Serene arranges registered nurses (RNs) and enrolled nurses who work within their scope of practice. Nursing care can be booked on its own or alongside a Serene caregiver.

Cleaning, dressing and monitoring of wounds, including post-operative wounds
IV therapy and injections
Medication administration
Pain management
Nasogastric tube insertion and feeding
Oxygen therapy
Catheter care
Vital signs monitoring
Nursing procedures are carried out by appropriately qualified nurses, within their scope of practice, and in line with the client's doctor's instructions where applicable.
How nursing can be arranged
- Single nursing visits (about 1 hour)
- Daytime nurse shifts (2 to 4 hours)
- 12-hour and 24-hour nursing shifts
- Monthly live-in nursing care
Caregivers and nurses, working together
Many clients need a caregiver for daily support and a nurse for specific clinical tasks. We coordinate both, so your family has one point of contact and one plan of care.
